The standard

 
Coulers nwithout pattern/on agouti The cats pattern/agouti is coded with a number and set after the letter for couler. The number for white paches all start with a 0 and then a number for the amount of white on the cat.
n: black 21: unknown patter or tha pattern is not possible do be decided. The number for eksample 09 is put beetwen the letter for couler and number for patter.
a: blue 22: Blotched tabby 01: 75% or more of the fure is white(van-coloured)
d: red 23: mackerel tabby 02: between 75% and 50% of the fure is white(harlequin-coloured)
e: cream 24: spotted tabby 03: Between 50% and 25% of the fure is white(bicoluored)
f: tortie 25: ticket tabby 09: less then 25%
g: blue-cream tortie   w: The hole cat is white
ns: silver. Silver without pattern is called smoke. the letter S is pu at the end of the letter for couler to show it is in combination with silver. For eksample: fs this is a tortiesilver or because it is without patter/non agouti smoketortie

The new colour amber on the Norwegian Forestcat!

From 1 of Januray 2005 we have a new EMS-code for to use when we are going to registrate our cats in FIFE!

Golden is from now on called amber and bluegolden is called light amber. To show that the cat is amber the letter t is added to the cats basic coluor. Amber(black) is nt and light amber is at. Amber is not shown in there own coluorgruops.
